Week 9: -2.6 TOTAL: -20.2
I'm down the big 2-0....and it feels awesome! 20 pounds!!! I can say that I didn't have the most inspired week last week, though. It was THAT time, and I was stuck in the house all week with sick kids, and I had some crud at Super Bowl, but you know what? I still made the plan work for me. For the first time since I started I ate ALL my activity points this week. I don't usually do that. I usually workout all week and leave those points alone - just using my 49 weekly points for treats. But this week I needed them, and I'm so glad I ate them instead of just blowing off the plan and going berserk.
I feel like this week was a HUGE turning point. I just wasn't feeling it this week, but I still pulled through. I think the honeymoon kind of ended this week......but I am determined to make this "marriage" work! ha.
I added a crazy kettlebell video this week. I'm really enjoying it, but it's super tough. I'm also increasing my running a bit. I just want to keep pushing my body each week. It's the eating I kind of got bored with this week. I just have that personality that likes to try new things. I've been trying to do a normal eating plan to save on our grocery budget (like tacos on Mondays and soup on Tuesdays, etc.).....but that's just so boring. I just have to face it that I LOVE new recipes. I'm going to have to plan that into the budget, period!
I made arroz con pollo this week from skinnytaste.com. Yum. Today I'm making ribs in the crockpot. That's a bit higher in points, but I have a quarter cow in my freezer that needs eaten!!!! So I'm working it into the plan.
We can do this, Everybody! Day after day, small choice after small choice....it WILL add up! The excitement and pure joy I feel right now 20 pounds down is priceless!!!! NOBODY can take that away from me. I did it......with my Precious Lord's strength, of course!!!!
How are you all doing?????

I'm doing O.K. I lost 1 pound this week & dropped a point. I guess because I gained the week before, I needed to drop a point anyways. So happy for you getting to the big 2-0! Way to go girl! My husband & I want to start the 30 day shred video you loaned me, but due to circumstances this week, we have not started yet. Maybe tonight! Keep uo the good work. I'm so proud of you!
Im proud of you Ames! 20 lbs is a huge achievement! I know that you can do this...
This week I was bad for the last 2 days of my plan! We went to his friends in SF and they took us to this great place! They ordered some of my favorites and so I thought..."I'll give myself a day not to stress" but then that turned into two days. Then on Tuesday I was back on track and trying really hard to reign myself in. Im not feeling 100% and usually when I study for a test I like to snack to keep me "active" but I dont want to snack cause it messes with my points!
