Week 12: -1.2 TOTAL: -25
This was a pretty good week. My ankle got sore, though...so I did less exercise. I think I was pushing it a little too much. I've had tendonitis in that ankle off and on for years. I walked the rest of the week. It felt good on my walk yesterday so I'm planning a little running today maybe.
I made a couple new recipes this week. Yesterday was a shredded beef and rice burrito with avocado. Delish! Chicken spaghetti this weekend was yummy too!
I fit into a few new things this week! I tell ya....no dessert or restaurant or Girl Scout cookie can compare to that amazing feeling of fitting into smaller clothes! It's awesome! I just need to remember that feeling in the small everyday choices. It's hard to see the big picture when it's just ONE cookie or ONE chip......which turns into A LOT of cookies and chips and soon weight gain. That is definitely my history. Let's face it. I have a horrible dieting track record. I've lost and gained literally AT LEAST a hundred pounds over the past 20 years. I'm slowly figuring out day by day how to not fall back into that cycle. I'm a work in progress for sure........
How was your week, Everybody???

Week 11
Week 11: -1.8 TOTAL: -23.8
What a week! I actually had a pretty good week.....until Sunday afternoon! I was home alone with Big T, and I just started snacking. Snacking turned into an all-out binge. I must have put away a good 50 points! I felt sick and guilty and gross. So Monday I got up renewed and I dedicated my eating back over to God. Such a success to be able to get right back on the wagon after such a horrible binge. It also reminded me not to get too comfortable. I can spiral down VERY quickly if I'm not careful. I need to stay awake and keep putting one foot in front of the other.
I did a good amount of running this week. I'm sure that helped. I was also right on with my points the rest of the week. It just shows that there's SEVEN days in a week, and ONE day does not make the week!!
I've been having a slight obsession with baked oatmeal and homemade bread lately. I guess I'm getting plenty of carbs!!! I made a pretty yummy recipe last night.
http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/02/spinach-lasagna-rolls.html Tobias even liked it!
So let's have another great week!!! Love you, All!

Week 10
Week 10: -1.8 TOTAL: -22.0
This week included a lot more exercise....and I also lost 1 daily Weight Watchers point this week, but I made it through! I'm using more fruits and vegetables throughout the day to keep my points down, along with some lower point recipes, of course!
The hubby joined me on the weight loss journey this week. He has A LOT less weight to lose, but it's nice to have someone to eat healthy with! And of course he lost 6 pounds this week despite eating waaaaaaaaay more than me! ha. I'm happy for him.
I bought six boxes of Girl Scout cookies. What was I thinking?! I had a few yesterday and the day before, and boy do I feel the difference in my body when I use my points for things like that. I was starving yesterday. They don't fill me up, and I also kind of got an attitude. Weird. It made me cranky. So I think I'm done with those for now. I'm just realizing my body doesn't feel that great when I put junk in it! Imagine that!!!
Still working on my sourdough starter. I'm hoping to bust out a loaf by the end of this week. Never thought I'd be babysitting dough! ha. The breadmaker wheat bread is so much easier! But I'm trying to perfect it for when my grandma comes in March!
In some ways the past 10 weeks seems to have flown by. I'm just excited to continue this journey with you all! How did you all do this week??

Week 9
Week 9: -2.6 TOTAL: -20.2
I'm down the big 2-0....and it feels awesome! 20 pounds!!! I can say that I didn't have the most inspired week last week, though. It was THAT time, and I was stuck in the house all week with sick kids, and I had some crud at Super Bowl, but you know what? I still made the plan work for me. For the first time since I started I ate ALL my activity points this week. I don't usually do that. I usually workout all week and leave those points alone - just using my 49 weekly points for treats. But this week I needed them, and I'm so glad I ate them instead of just blowing off the plan and going berserk.
I feel like this week was a HUGE turning point. I just wasn't feeling it this week, but I still pulled through. I think the honeymoon kind of ended this week......but I am determined to make this "marriage" work! ha.
I added a crazy kettlebell video this week. I'm really enjoying it, but it's super tough. I'm also increasing my running a bit. I just want to keep pushing my body each week. It's the eating I kind of got bored with this week. I just have that personality that likes to try new things. I've been trying to do a normal eating plan to save on our grocery budget (like tacos on Mondays and soup on Tuesdays, etc.).....but that's just so boring. I just have to face it that I LOVE new recipes. I'm going to have to plan that into the budget, period!
I made arroz con pollo this week from skinnytaste.com. Yum. Today I'm making ribs in the crockpot. That's a bit higher in points, but I have a quarter cow in my freezer that needs eaten!!!! So I'm working it into the plan.
We can do this, Everybody! Day after day, small choice after small choice....it WILL add up! The excitement and pure joy I feel right now 20 pounds down is priceless!!!! NOBODY can take that away from me. I did it......with my Precious Lord's strength, of course!!!!
How are you all doing?????

Week 8
Week 8: -2.2 TOTAL: - 17.6
Still going strong. I am just amazed at how much this is just becoming part of my life. I guess that's how it's supposed to be, huh?! Icky food is slowly becoming a part of the past, and healthy but delicious food is now front and center! I'm still able to cook, which I LOVE to do. I'm finding it's actually to my advantage to cook because I can control exactly what I put in my mouth.
I baked A LOT this week because I got a new breadmaker from my mom for my birthday (two months early). I made two loaves of wheat bread and a loaf of rosemary bread. I made banana chocolate chip muffins.......and I've just started a sourdough starter. That's supposed to take a good two weeks. So I'll have to let ya know if it works out!
Workouts have continued to mostly be running. I had to take yesterday off cuz I had run four days in a row and I was really feeling it in my knees. I'm not getting in a ton of mileage (maybe only a mile of running and a mile of walking per day), but I am just consistently trying to get my cardio trained. I also added kettlebell but only once this week. I plan to do it again today. It's a HUGE workout! Weights really get my heartrate up!
Wanna hear something awesome? I'm actually starting to FEEL the weight loss. I'm fitting into a few new things. I'm getting a few comments...mostly from the hubby :) It's just wonderful motivation and such a great feeling that with God's strength I am winning this fight!!! For His glory!
How was your week, All? Haven't heard from you guys lately..........Love ya anyway!
